Video Released of Man Stealing $20K Necklace From Southampton Jewelry Store: Police

SOUTHAMPTON, NY — The search is on for a man who stole a necklace valued at $20,000 from a Southampton jewelry store — and now authorities have released a surveillance video of the man wanted for the crime, police said.
Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and Village of Southampton detectives are seeking the public’s help to identify and locate the man who burglarized a Southampton jewelry store, police said.
A man entered Rose Jewelers, located at 57 Main St., on November 28 at approximately 4:30 p.m., smashed a display case with a hammer, and stole a diamond necklace, valued at $20,000, police said.

The man fled on a dark-colored bicycle, police said.
Suffolk County Crime Stoppers offers a cash reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest. Anyone with information about this crime is asked to call anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS. All calls will be kept confidential.
