Water Mill Beach Dispute Leads To Civilian Arrest: PD
The verbal and physical dispute on the sand at Flying Point Beach involved multiple people, police say.

WATER MILL, NY — A verbal and physical altercation on Flying Point Beach in Water Mill Sunday led to a civilian arrest, police said.
According to Southampton Town police, the civilian arrest involved a 47-year-old New York City man, who was arrested at 5 p.m. Police responded to a 911 call in regard to a dispute on the sand at the beach involving multiple individuals, police said.
The man was reported to have been involved in a verbal and physical altercation with another person on the beachfront; upon police arrival, he was taken into custody on a civilian complaint, and transported to the Southampton Town police headquarters for arrest processing. He was charged with second-degree harassment, a violation, and released on an appearance ticket to appear in Southampton Town Justice Court at a later date, police said.
