Waterfront Spot Named Best, Most Affordable 'Bucket List' Happy Hour In Hamptons

SOUTHAMPTON, NY — In the tony Hamptons, where pristine beaches stretch for miles and glorious homes dot the landscape, days and nights are spent soaking up the vistas and seeking out memory making moments.

But when it's time for happy hour, and you're on a budget, there's one spot that's a must, according to a new post by Thrillist, "The Hamptons Bucket List: 28 Things You Must Do Out East."

If you're looking for fun that won't break the bank, Dockers in East Quogue is the place, according to the post, which says, "If you’re doing the Hamptons on a budget (or even if you’re not) kick the weekend off cheaply at East Quogue’s Dockers, which offers $5 happy hour on cocktails, beer, wine, and appetizers (and great views of the water) every Friday."

In an interview with Patch, owner Larry Hoffman explained the appeal: "Dockers is a popular place for happy hour, especially our Friday happy hour," he said.

Featured are all beers for $5, house wines, prosecco and champagne for $6 and select premium brand cocktails for $7 Fridays from 3 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., with a special appetizer menu also for $5 to $7 each.

"The view, the music, the staff, the setting make it a great place to relax, meet friends, have a bite to eat and just enjoy everything Hamptons. Local and summer residents alike enjoy our vacation-like atmosphere sitting in one of three outdoor lounges," Hoffman said. "I would hang out here if I didn't own the place!"
