Welcome to Patch: Hildreth's, Yacht Clubs, smartHampton, Paddling With Claudia

Hildreth's, the oldest department store in America, joined Southampton Patch recently, along with two local yacht clubs, a computer service company and a new standup paddling business.

Hildreth's Department Store is America's oldest interior and exterior home goods department store. For more than 168 years, the folks at Hildreth's have provided top-notch service for a range of design needs. Hildreth's offers decoration and custom design services with an onsite designer and work room. A range of housewares are available, including bedroom decor, draperies, bath and spa essentials, linens, glassware, candles, sheets, towels, children's clothing, toys and sewing supplies. Indoor and outdoor furniture is also for sale. Like Hildreth's slogan says, "Bringing the best to you since 1842!"

Behind the main department stopre, you'll find on West Main Street. And you can find on Powell Avenue in Southampton.

Southampton Yacht Club is a private club on Fort Pond Bay for motorboats and sailboats. It is on Little Neck Road off Montauk Highway in Shinnecock Hills, south of the Stony Brook Southampton School of Marine and Atmospheric Sciences. The club has junior sailing lessons and the club races lightnings Wednesday nights and Saturdays throughout the summer, followed by a potluck.

Sag Harbor Yacht Club
The is a private club located in Shelter Island Sound off Gardiners Bay open from April through most of November, though in the latter months it is only open for refueling and transient dockage. The Sag Harbor Yacht Club has a club house, dock house, a covered picnic area, fuel dock and concierge service. The club also has free Wi-Fi. Each year, it hosts the Maycroft Cup sailing regatta raced in September in the Shelter Island Sound and Gardiners Bay.

smartHampton
A computer services company, offers a wide array of services for residential and commercial clients for windows, Mac, mobile and tablet devices. Services offered include consulting, setup, maintenance, repairs, software development, web design and more.

Paddling with Claudia
Based in Sag Harbor, Paddling with Claudia provides stand-up paddle boarding instruction. Classes are available one-on-one with business owner and instructor Claudia Tarlow, and group instruction is also available. Instruction is offered for both children and adults.
