Woman, 23, Charged With Felony DWI In Southampton: Police
She was taken to the hospital due to an unsafe alcohol reading on a pre-screening device, police say.
SOUTHAMPTON, NY — A 23-year-old woman from Sag Harbor was charged with driving while intoxicated in Southampton recently, police said.
According to Southampton Village Police, on Nov. 11 at 3:58 p.m., Sofia Fernancdez-Nava, who was driving a 2017 Chevrolet Silverado, was arrested on O’Connell Drive and charged with felony DWI. She was also charged with second-degree aggravated unlicensed operations, circumventing an interlock device, and third-degree unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, all misdemeanors, police said.
She was transported to Stony Brook Southampton Hospital due to an unsafe alcohol reading on the pre-screening device, police said. The vehicle she was operating was impounded, police said.
