Woman Arrested After Pointing A Shotgun, Yelling At Passing Motorists In Hamptons: Police
She was arrested and charged with menacing, police say.
SOUTHAMPTON, NY — A woman was arrested after pointing a shotgun and yelling at passing motorist, police said.
According to Southampton Town police, on Tuesday at about 6:51 p.m., officers responded to the area of North Sea Mecox Road near Majors Path after a report of a woman standing near the roadway, yelling at passing vehicles and holding a shotgun.
An investigation revealed that Lynn D. Blydenburgh, 67, of Southampton began yelling at a passing motorist who was stopped in traffic and then pointed a shotgun at a female, police said.

Blydenburgh was arrested at the scene and then transported to police headquarters for processing, police said.
She was charged with second-degree menacing, a misdemeanor, and held overnight for morning arraignment at Southampton Town Justice Court, police said.
