Woman Breaks In To Suffolk County Center: Police

She damaged windows when she broke in, police say.

RIVERSIDE, NY — A Riverhead woman was arrested and charged after she broke into the Suffolk County Center in Riverside Wednesday afternoon, police said.

According to Southampton Town Police, the incident took place at 3:57 p.m. when a report came in about an alarm activation at the county center. Officers responded and discovered damaged windows and forced entry, police said.

Eileen Borchart, 47, of Riverhead, was arrested and charged with third-degree burglary, a felony, police said. In addition, Borchart was found to have an outstanding bench warrant issued by Southampton Justice Court, police said.

Borchart was processed at Southampton Town Police headquarters and held for morning arraignment, police said.
