Woman Severely Burned After Falling Into Fire Pit In Flanders
She was airlifted for treatment, police say.
FLANDERS, NY — A woman was severely burned when she fell into a fire pit in Flanders on Friday, police said.
According to Southampton Town Police, the 51-year-old woman was flown by Suffolk County aviation to the Stony Brook Southampton Hospital burn unit.
Southampton Town Police, the Flanders Fire Department, and the Flanders Northampton Volunteer Ambulance Corps responded. Southampton Town fire marshals and detectives responded to investigate and determined that there had been no criminality, police said.
