Woman Stole $6K In Cosmetics, Merchandise From Supermarket: Cops

SOUTHAMPTON, NY — A woman stole $6,000 worth of cosmetics and other merchandise from Stop & Shop last month, police said.

Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and Southampton Village Police Department detectives are asking for the public’s help to identify and locate the woman who stole the items from Stop and Shop, located at 167 Jagger Lane, on Feb. 10 at 4:30 p.m., police said.

Suffolk County Crime Stoppers offers a cash reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest. Anyone with information about the incidents can contact Suffolk County Crime Stoppers to submit an anonymous tip by calling 1-800-220-TIPS, texting “SCPD” and a message to “CRIMES” (274637) or emailing www.tipsubmit.com.
