Apart from the live broadcast of those day’s events, Fickett said, “We’ll be doing different features, like five Hampton classics vignettes, describing moments in the history of the Hampton Classics,” provided by Hampton Classic Executive Director Shanette Barth Cohen.

WPPB’s Hampton Classic Series will offer a “ring-side seat” to the events, bringing participants and celebrities in front of the microphone to offer their comments.  WPPB personality Bonnie Grice, the host of "The Eclectic Café," will be interviewing sponsors, riders, various personalities to get what Fickett called, “the big picture on the Classic”

“If someone can’t make the Classic,” he said,  “they’re going to get a really clear picture through the live broadcast Bonnie is hosting.”

The highlight of the Hampton Classic Horse Show is the $250,000 FTI Grand Prix and FEI World Cup Qualifier on Sept. 1.  The Grand Prix, open to horses that successfully complete Friday's $50,000 Spy Coast Farm/Young Horse Show Series Grand Prix Qualifier, features Olympians, world champions and other show jumping veterans.
