17,000 Putnam Outages Remain Thursday
Utility companies are offering some estimates for when power will be restored.

PUTNAM COUNTY, NY — To insure a coordinated response to the power outages across Putnam County due to Tuesday's tornadoes and severe thunderstorms, key personnel remain in the Putnam County Emergency Operations Center. This includes NYSEG, Central Hudson, the National Guard and highway departments.
NYSEG reports there are still 17,788 customers out of power in Putnam County as of 11:38 a.m. Thursday. The estimated restoration time is 7 p.m. May 18.

Central Hudson reports 1,633 Putnam customers still out of electricity. No estimate has been made for restoration time.
