UPDATE: Power was restored to customers in Carmel and Kent at about 3:30 p.m.
PUTNAM COUNTY, NY — More than 2,000 NYSEG customers in Carmel and Kent are without power Monday.
The power went out at about 2:30 p.m. It effects not only homes and businesses but also the traffic lights on Route 52 at the Carmel Plaza and at Vink Drive.
