Accused Of Child Porn, Putnam Man Arrested When He Left The House
The investigation continued after materials were seized at his home.

PUTNAM VALLEY, NY — Alex Amoroso of Putnam Valley is accused of possessing and promoting child pornography. The arrest came after an investigation by members of the Bureau of Criminal Investigation into the online sharing of images and videos of child sexual abuse material, Putnam County Sheriff Robert L. Langley Jr. said.
On April 19, members of the Putnam County Sheriff’s office, armed with a search warrant, conducted a search of Amoroso’s home and seized multiple electronic devices. The investigators continued the investigation and on May 18 the 50-year-old was arrested on an arrest warrant when he exited his residence.
Amoroso was charged with 8 counts of Possessing Obscene Sexual Performance by a Child and 8 counts of Promoting Obscene Sexual Performance by a Child, felony charges. He was subsequently arraigned in front of the Honorable Louis DiCarlo in the Town of Putnam Valley Court and sent to the Correctional Facility without bail.
