Adolph W. ‘Dolphie’ Williams: Patterson Resident

He worked for the town highway department for 37 years.

Adolph W. ‘Dolphie’ Williams, a lifelong resident of Patterson, NY, died peacefully after a brief illness on December 1, 2017. He was 81 years old.

Dolphie was born on September 9, 1936 in Patterson, NY, son to the late Jackson S. and Anna E. (Smith) Williams. Prior to honorably serving in the US Army during the Korean War, Dolphie worked on local farms.

On June 6, 1958 Dolphie married the love of his life Alvina L. Deinhartd.

Dolphie worked for the Town of Patterson Highway Department as a heavy equipment operator for 37 years before retiring in 1988. He was an avid sports fan and enjoyed all sports, he also enjoyed hunting and trapping.

Dolphie’s family was very important to him. Dolphie is survived by his loving wife, Alvina of 59 years and friend Jean McEckron. He was predeceased by his nephew Donald ‘Donny’ Williams.

Services will be private and at the convenience of the family. Funeral arrangements have been under the care of Richard Hazzard Jr. and staff at Dwyer Funeral Home, 23 South Street, Patterson, NY.
