Carmel, NY – Somers Orthopaedic Surgery & Sports Medicine Group is pleased to announce that they now offer open MRI in their Newburgh office located at 2 Victory Court in Newburgh, NY. Open MRI has been available at Somers Orthopaedic Surgery’s Carmel, NY office and the addition of MRI capabilities in Newburgh will allow them to service patients in this geographic area as well.

Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) is a diagnostic tool used to produce pictures of specific body parts without the use of radiation. Open MRI suites are designed for comfort and to reduce claustrophobia and anxiety that some patients experience with traditional closed MRI units.
