Armed Massachusetts Resident Accused In I-684 Road Rage Incident
New York State police allege the man had an AR-15 with an ammunition feeding device, plus two handguns.
SOUTHEAST, NY — A Massachusetts 23-year-old who police said threatened another driver on Interstate 684 with one of three illegal guns in his car is in the Putnam County Jail awaiting a court date.
New York State police were called at 3:20 p.m. Sunday about a man menacing another motorist with a firearm. They said they found the suspect northbound near mile marker 27.
Troopers alleged that the man, identified as Justin D. Blundell, got into a road rage incident and menaced the victim, who had children in the vehicle, with an illegally possessed H&K P2000 9MM handgun.

They said he also was in illegal possession of a H&K VP9 9MM handgun and a Sig Sauer 5.56 AR-15 style rifle with a noncompliant ammunition feeding device.
The Lexington, Massachusetts resident faces three felony charges: Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the 2nd degree, a class C felony; Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the 3rd degree, a class D felony; Criminal Possession of a Firearm, a class E felony. He also faces three misdemeanor charges: Menacing in the 2nd degree, Possession of a Large Capacity Ammunition feeding Device, and three counts of Endangering the Welfare of a Child.

Blundell was arraigned in Southeast town court and sent to the Putnam County Jail in lieu of $2,500 cash bail or $5,000 bond pending a future court date.
