Arrest After Stabbing At Smoke Shop On Route 6
A Mahopac man faces three charges including attempted murder.

CARMEL, NY — Police responding to a reported stabbing found a man bleeding profusely outside the Cloud House Smoke Shop on Route 6 at 10 p.m. Monday.
The 22-year-old had two stab wounds.
Inside, the responding officers quickly identified a suspect, Anas Mousa of Mahopac. The 24-year-old was taken into custody without incident.

Carmel Police detectives concluded that the victim had been stabbed once in the chest and once in the back during an altercation at the business, which is located at 898 Route 6.
The victim was transported to Danbury Hospital in critical but stable condition, police said.

Mousa faces charges of second-degree attempted murder, first-degree assault and fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon. He was being held pending arraignment, police said Tuesday morning.
