JOAN GILLMAN SMITH
Award winning painter and mixed media artist Joan Gillman Smith studied at Cooper Union in New York City. Drawing led to painting which led to collage, mixed media, monoprints, woodcuts and etchings.

ULTERIOR MOTIFS features innovative and stunning Matisse inspired cutouts, as well as works dominated by color, line, shape and pattern.
Joan Gillman Smith’s work has been shown extensively in Manhattan, Long Island, Westchester and galleries in the area. Her work is also in private collections.
This is Joan Gillman Smith’s second one person exhibit at Studio Around the Corner.
