August 2022 Primary: Early Voting To Begin Saturday In Putnam
Early voting can be done at either of the county's early voting centers.

PUTNAM COUNTY, NY — Voting in the August primary for the 2022 election starts Saturday and there are Conservative, Democratic and Republican primaries in Congressional District 17, which includes all of Putnam County.
- The Democratic primary for Congressional District 17 is between Alessandra Biaggi and Sean Patrick Maloney. SEE: August Primary Preview: 2 Democrats Vye In 17th Congressional District
- Candidates in the Republican primary for Congressional District 17 are Charles J. Falciglia, Michael V. Lawler, Jack W. Schrepel, Shoshana M. David and William G. Faulkner. SEE: August Primary Preview: 5 Republicans Face Off For 17th District
- The Conservative primary for Congressional District 17 will be between William G. Faulkner and Michael V. Lawler
Only registered Democratic, Republican and Conservative voters are eligible to vote in the August primary.
Primary Day is Aug. 23 and there are nine days of early voting. If you vote during the early voting period, you are not eligible to vote on Primary Day. For the August primary, early voting votes will be canvassed and reported after 9 p.m. Aug. 23.

Putnam has two early voting centers:
- North Highlands Fire House, 504 Fishkill Road, Cold Spring, NY 10516
- Putnam County Office Building, 40 Gleneida Ave., Room 102, Carmel, NY 10512
Early voting is primarily a daytime operation, though several days have afternoon-evening hours. Early voting hours are:

- Saturday, August 13 from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m.
- Sunday, August 14 from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m.
- Monday, August 15 from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m.
- Tuesday, August 16 from 12 Noon until 8 p.m.
- Wednesday, August 17 from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m.
- Thursday, August 18 from 12 Noon until 8 p.m.
- Friday, August 19 from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m.
- Saturday, August 20 from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m.
- Sunday, August 21 from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m.
If you choose to wait to vote until Primary Day itself, know that the Putnam County Board of Elections has announced temporary polling place changes:
- If you normally vote at the Mahopac Falls Elementary School, you will temporarily be voting at the Lakeview Elementary School, 112 Lakeview Dr., Mahopac NY 10541.
- If you normally vote at the Mahopac Middle School, you will temporarily be voting at the Carmel Town Hall, 60 McAlpin Ave., Mahopac NY 10541.
- If you normally vote at the Austin Road Elementary School, you will temporarily be voting at Doherty Hall at St. James Church, 20 County Center, Carmel NY 10512.
- If you normally vote at the Kent Town Hall, you will temporarily be voting at the Lakeview Community Church, 387 Route 52, Carmel NY 10512.
- If you normally vote at the Continental Village Clubhouse, you will temporarily be voting at the Garrison Volunteer Fire Department, 1616 Route 9, Garrison NY 10524.
- If you normally vote at the North Highlands Fire House, you will temporarily be voting at the Cold Spring Methodist Church, 216 Main St., Cold Spring NY 10516.
- If you normally vote at the Putnam Valley High School, you will temporarily be voting at the Putnam Valley Ambulance Corps., 218 Oscawana Lake Rd., Putnam Valley NY 10579.
- If you normally vote at the Brewster VFW, you will temporarily be voting at the Brewster Public Library, 79 Main St., Brewster NY 10509.
Also, if your polling place was located at Studio Around the Corner, it is now located at Brewster Public Library, 79 Main St., Brewster, NY 10509.
