Auxiliary Donates $25,000 to Putnam Hospital Center
3rd installment of a pledge to the ER

The Putnam Hospital Center Auxiliary presented a major gift to the hospital last month.
Auxiliary Co-President Peg Lindblom delivered a $25,000 check to hospital President James Caldas during the group’s annual luncheon held this year on Nov. 12 at Primavera in Croton Falls. The contribution is the third installment of a $125,000, one-year pledge the auxiliary made in 2015 to support the hospital’s Emergency Department.
“Thank you, thank you, thank you, “Caldas said. “You make a difference for the better of our care.”

Last year, the auxiliary completed a $150,000 pledge, also for the Emergency Department.
The donations come from money raised through the service of volunteers in the hospital gift shop and two offsite thrift shops, including the Eagle Eye in Brewster and Eagle Eye Too in Mahopac.

The auxiliary was formed in 1963 and has made more than $7 million in pledge payments since its inception.
