Biggest Turn Out Yet for Charity Poker Tournament

Hudson Valley Cerebral Palsy Full House for Opportunity 2015 Charity Poker Tournament benefiting the Opportunity League

The Third Annual Hudson Valley Charity Poker Classic was held on Saturday March 21, 2015 to help support the mission of the Hudson Valley Cerebral Palsy Association in the development of the Opportunity League Park in our community. One Hundred and Fifty Players from the Tri-State area gathered at the Agency’s Mt. Ebo headquarters for a tournament that lasted well into the evening with the grand prize awarded of an entry into the 2015 World Series of Poker Main Event this summer in Las Vegas.

Special guest Jason Koon, of the World Series of Poker and The World Poker Tour, participated in the event and was there to hand the certificate to the winning player. Event Co-Chairmen Ken Ford & Rick Stockfield both played and enthusiastically addressed the crowd, thanking them for attending and supporting such a great charitable organization in the community. Rich Parente of Clock Tower Grill, and regular supporter of Hudson Valley Cerebral Palsy Association, was on hand to serve a BBQ feast for Lunch.

The event was again a success, raising a significant amount of money to contribute to the development of the Opportunity League Park and the Hudson Valley Cerebral Palsy Association. The Mission of the Opportunity League Park is to improve health, fitness, wellness, independence, and quality of life through inclusive recreation and sports competition for people of all ages in community-based, universally designed, accessible, multi-use facilities. Mark your calendars for next year’s event on Saturday, March 19, 2016.
