Create a Book Spine Poem - it's easy and fun! Visit the Book Barn in the basement of Mahopac Public Library. Grab a handful of books and use the title to create a poem.
Create a Book Spine Poem April 16th through April 27th in the Book Barn, the used bookstore on the basement level of the Mahopac Public Library. It's easy! Browse the shelves in the Book Barn and stack up a handful of titles to create your poem. Our volunteers will take a snap shot of your creation and enter it in the contest that will be held at the Woodstock II poetry reading on April 29th.
The Book Barn offers thousands of books for a dollar or less, plus a small selection of collectibles, including first editions and autographed copies. Beginning in April, it is opened more hours than ever:
Tuesday 1 to 7
Wednesday 10 to 5
Thursday 1 to 7
Friday 10 to 4
Saturday 1 to 4 (July and Aug - 11 to 2)
2nd Sunday 1 to 4 (July and August - Closed)
