Brewster Considering Schools Improvement Project
Topping the list are a security vestibule, new track and field at BHS; and work required by New York State.

BREWSTER, NY — Brewster's Pre-Bond Committee has recommended a set of projects to be undertaken to renovate, repair and upgrade the district's schools.
Of the original $138 million contemplated as “wish list” items, the committee cut out the lowest priority projects it considered. Several were selected for the school board's consideration.

The committee recommended that voters be asked to approve the work in two propositions; the first would have to pass for the work in the second proposition to be done.
The Brewster Board of Education may adopt a resolution authorizing a capital improvement project bond referendum at its Jan. 24 meeting. The community would then be asked to vote on the bond on March 21.
