Stephen P. Howard of Putnam Lake, died Saturday in Carmel, at the age of 61.
Howard was born Jan. 26, 1951, in the Bronx, son of the late John and Della (Crowley) Howard. He graduated from in 1969, then married Gayle Dakin in Sacred Heart Church in Patterson on Dec. 7, 1974.

Howard was a plant manager for Kimberly Clark in New Milford, CT, for 37 years. before retiring in 2011. He was a member of Sacred Heart Church and the Knights of Columbus Fr. Breen Council in Patterson.
Besides his wife Gayle, he is survived by his four children: Daniel Howard of Brewster, Christopher Howard of Pawling, Jennifer Foster of Sherman, CT, Kevin Howard of Poughquag; three brothers: John Howard of Poughquag, Robert Howard of Saratoga, and Gerard Howard of Katy, TX; a sister: Marie Bennett also of Katy TX; as well as seven grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Tuesday at Sacred Heart Church, Patterson, NY. Interment will follow in Milltown Rural Cemetery in Brewster. Calling hours will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. on Monday at Beecher Funeral Home.
