Brewster HS Student Arrested For Making Threat Against School
The alleged threat was posted on the social media site Snapchat.

BREWSTER, NY — A 16-year-old Brewster High School student was arrested Dec. 19 for allegedly making threats against the school. Putnam County Sheriff Robert L. Langley Jr.'s office said Friday the teen was charged, at this time, with making a terroristic threat, a felony.
On Dec 18, the sheriff's department responded to the home of the student who allegedly made the threats against the school on social media accounts.
The threat, which was posted on Snapchat, was received Tuesday, Dec. 17 after 10 p.m., the Journal News said.

A security check of the student's home and a home that is frequented was conducted, the sheriff's department said.
The sheriff's department said it continues to work with federal and state law enforcement partners to investigate the matter.

In accordance with the law, due to the teen's age, the sheriff's department is unable to give more specific information about the student.
