New York State Police arrested John P. Covais, 37, of Brewster, New York, for Driving While Ability Impaired by Drugs, a Misdemeanor.
Troopers stopped Covais on State Route 55 Jan. 13 for failing to maintain his designated lane of travel. An investigation concluded that Covais was impaired by drugs at the time of the stop.
A State Police Drug Recognition Expert evaluated Covais following his arrest.
He was issued traffic tickets directing him to appear before the Town of LaGrange Court on Jan. 27.
