Brewster Man, Post Office Worker, Faces Larceny Charges
He's accused of stealing from a business in Southeast.

SOUTHEAST – A post office employee from Brewster is accused of grand larceny in connection with the theft of a laptop in Southeast.
Joshua A. Hoffman, 32, faces charges of Grand Larceny in the 4th Degree, a Class E Felony, and Official Misconduct, a Class A Misdemeanor.
On March 7, 2017, state police were dispatched to a Southeast business to conduct a larceny investigation of an Apple laptop. They said their investigation revealed that Hoffman, a part time U. S. Postal Service employee, entered the business and stole the laptop from the reception area.

Hoffman was arrested on March 16. He was arraigned at the Town of Southeast Justice Court by Honorable Richard W. Vercollone and remanded to the Putnam County Jail in lieu of $500 bail or $5,000 bond. The New York State Police from Brewster and the United States Postal Service's Office of Inspector General announced the arrest.
