Brewster School Calendar 2019-20: First Day Of School

BREWSTER, NY — The first day of school is Sept. 4 in Brewster — and whether you and the kids are looking forward to the new school year or are dreading the end of summer, you'll want to mark the dates on your calendar ASAP.

The calendars include important dates such as winter and spring vacations, religious holidays, federal holidays and parent-teacher conferences.

The Brewster Board of Education meets next at 6:30 p.m. Aug. 20 in the district office.

Here is the full list of dates to know for the 2019-20 school year:

• 9/3: Superintendent's Conference Day
• 9/4: First Day of School
• 9/30: No School (Rosh Hashanah)

October

• 10/1: No School (Rosh Hashanah)
• 10/9: No School (Yom Kippur)
• 10/14: No School (Columbus Day)
• 10/17: Superintendents Conference Day/PLC

November

• 11/4: Parent Teacher Conferences evening only
• 11/5: Parent Teacher Conference Day/ SCD
• 11/11: No School (Veterans Day)
• 11/28-29: No School (Thanksgiving Break)

December

• 12/23-31: No School (Holiday Recess)

January

• 1/1: No School (Holiday Recess)
• 1/20: No School (Martin Luther King Jr. Day)

February

• 2/17-21: No School (Winter Recess)

March

• 3/4: Superintendent's Conference Day
• 3/12: K-5 Half Day; Parent Teacher Conferences

• 4/6-10: No School (Spring Recess)
