When is the first day of school in Brewster? Here are the must-know dates for students, parents and teachers.
BREWSTER, NY — Before you know it, the 2021-22 school year will be starting. The first day of classes for the Brewster school district is Sept. 1.
Whether or not you and your children are looking forward to the new school year, you will want to write down the dates in your calendar as soon as possible. Especially note that the spring and Memorial Day recesses are subject to change so be sure to not make irrevocable plans.

- 9/16 Yom Kippur
- 10/11 Columbus Day
- 11/1-2 Superintendent's conference day, parent-teacher conferences
- 11/11 Veterans Day
- 11/25-26 Thanksgiving recess
- 12/24-31 Holiday recess
- 1/17 Martin Luther King Jr. Day
- 2/21-25 Winter recess

- 6/23 Half day for students

- If no snow days are used, then school is closed on 5/27, 4/18, 5/26, 4/19, 4/20
- If one snow day is used, then school is closed on 5/27, 4/18, 5/26, 4/19
- If two snow days are used, then school is closed on 5/27, 4/18, 5/26
- If three snow days are used, then school is closed on 5/27, 4/18
- If four snow days are used, then school is closed on 5/27
- If five snow days are used, no change to the calendar
