Brewster School District Votes On Amended Budget

If the second budget does not pass, the district will go to a contingency budget.

BREWSTER, NY — Voters in the Brewster Central School District will be going to the polls Tuesday to vote on a second budget for the 2018-19 school year. The previous budget vote on May 15 did not pass, and the district changed its spending plan.

Voters will be asked to OK a $98 million budget with a 2.22 percent tax levy increase. The budget to budget increase is 2.75 percent.

The contingency budget, which will go into effect if the second vote fails, would be $96.7 million dollars.
