Brewster Schools Improvement Plan Up For Vote Tuesday

SOUTHEAST, NY — Dwight D. Eisenhower famously said, "Politics ought to be the part-time profession of every citizen who would protect the rights and privileges of free people."

There are plenty of upcoming chances to help tend to our democracy close to the roots. Residents of the Brewster school district vote Tuesday on the school board's plan renovation and expansion plan, which has two propositions, one tax-neutral and one with a tax impact of about $20 per year. Polls are open 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. at Brewster High School.

Also, several public meetings are scheduled for this week that affect Brewster and Souheast residents.
