Brewster, Southeast Government: Week Of Dec. 26

The village of Brewster office is closed Monday in observance of Christmas. The town of Southeast office will be closed Monday and Tuesday.

Brewster officials remind residents there will be no garbage pick-up on Tuesday; the pick-up for refuse will be on Dec. 28. The same change will take place for the first pick-up of January 2023.

Putnam County Executive-Elect Kevin Byrne's swearing-in ceremony will be on Friday.

The event will take place at Carmel High School's Casey Hall starting at 1 .m. Dec. 30.

The public is invited.

Byrne will be sworn in by outgoing Dutchess County Executive and Congressman-Elect Marc Molinaro. The Master of Ceremonies will be the Hon. Will Stephens.

There will be a reception with light refreshments immediately following the ceremony, just up the street at the Knights of Columbus at 10 Fair St.
