Join us for CoveCare Center’s 2026 Team Spelling Bee as we celebrate the 15th
anniversary of our beloved Bee! Show off your spelling skills and make a difference in the lives of those affected by mental health and substance use issues. All proceeds benefit the many community programs &amp; services of CoveCare Center. 

Compete for bragging rights and the 1st Place trophy in this fun team event! Trophies also awarded for 2nd Place Team and Most Enthusiastic Team. Teams consist of up to 10 players and are eliminated after 3 misspelled words. Stay in the game with a mulligan ($25 each in advance/$30 each at the event – max of 5 per team).

Event cost is $60 per person and includes game entry, buffet dinner, desserts &amp; coffee/tea/soda – Cash bar available.

Jewish Festival- Opening Event Celebrating 100 Years of United Jewish Center in Danbury!

On Saturday, June 13, the sounds of love and inclusivity will once again ring off the beautiful
hills of Putnam County at the 7th annual Putnam Pride Celebration. This rain-or-shine event will
kick off at 1:00pm at the Putnam County Courthouse in downtown Carmel with a rally and
March. 

Beloved hosts Angel Elektra and Shay D’Pines – in conjunction with Kingston’s own
Unicorn Brass Band – will lead marchers from the Putnam County Courthouse down Gleneida
Avenue to the rainbow sign at Gilead Presbyterian Church (a welcoming congregation). After
returning to the courthouse, attendees will hear from local clergy and speakers before heading
to Putnam County Veterans Memorial Park in Kent for a celebration. Guests can also go
straight to the park, where there will be vendors and music beginning at 1:00pm.

Nothing says spring better than our popular Classic Design Luncheon and Lecture! We’re honored to feature Genevieve Wheeler-Brown, the author of&nbsp;<a href="https://beyondblueandwhite.com/" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">“Beyond Blue and White.”</a>
Wheeler-Brown’s book explores the history of Delftware ceramics, focusing on the often-overlooked roles of women as makers, patrons, and collectors, from 17th-century factory owners like&nbsp;Barbara Rotteveel&nbsp;to Gilded Age collectors like&nbsp;Mrs. J. Pierpont Morgan. A must for devotees of decorative arts and the history of material culture. 
Location: The award-winning Jay Estate Gardens designed by Nelson Byrd Woltz. Co-Chairs, Tracy Edwards, Liz Garrett, Emmy Lambert, Lindsay Bello Martin and Suzanne Clary.
Guests will enjoy botanical cocktails and a tour of the blue and white blooms of our gardens at 11:30am followed by lunch and lecture at 12 Noon. Booksigning at 1:30pm. Catering provided by Scarborough Fair Catering.

GENEVIEVE WHEELER BROWN
Founding Genevieve Wheeler Decorative Art Advisory in 2003, Genevieve comes to the advisory business with more than 12 years of experience in the auction world, strong generalist knowledge and a wide range of contacts in American, European and Asian decorative and fine arts.
Genevieve began her career with Christie’s in 1992 with the European Decorative Arts Department after working as an intern at The Phillips Collection, Washington D.C. in 1990. She was then asked to run Overseas Consignments at Christie’s Park Avenue, a department that handled inquiries for European based auctions including Indian and Southeast Asian art, Islamic Art, Miniatures, Textiles and Cameras. In 1995 Genevieve became the New York contact for sales of Fabergé and Russian Silver at Christie’s Park Avenue and most recently was as a specialist in Fine Musical Instruments at Christie’s Rockefeller Center from 1998 to 2003.
While at Christie’s, she was involved with important sales such as ‘The Pine Cone Egg’ by Carl Fabergé and ‘The Taft’ Stradivari which fetched the auction record for an instrument sold in the United States. She has also been an appraiser on the PBS production ‘The Antiques Roadshow’.
A supporter of several fine and decorative art related institutions, Genevieve has served on the Board of the National Society of Colonial Dames in the State of New York, served as a member of the Young Fellows Steering Committee of the Frick Collection from 1995 to 2005 and co-Chaired the Winter Antiques Show Young Collector’s Night, New York in 2004, 2005, and 2006.
Genevieve currently advises several organizations including <a href="https://www.dumbartonhouse.org/" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">Dumbarton House</a>, a Federal period house museum in Georgetown, as a board member as well as for <a href="https://www.thewintershow.org/" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">The Winter Show</a> as a vice-chair of Opening Night and as co-founder of The Winter Show Luncheon.

Join us for the 15th Annual Putnam County Wine &amp; Music Fest at Putnam County Veterans Memorial Park (Upper), 201 Gipsy Trail Road, Carmel, NY. The event takes place on Saturday, August 22, from 11:00 AM to 6:00 PM, and Sunday, August 23, from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM, 2026.
Enjoy walk-around tastings from local restaurants and food trucks, specialty food vendors, arts and crafts, and live music from international and local artists across genres, including Reggae, Pop, Country, and Latin. Additional features include a cooking demonstration, beer tent, and children’s activities such as face painting, sand art, and cornhole.
