The Putnam Chorale announces the opening of registration for new and returning singers for its Fall 2026 semester. The 80-person community choir, entering its 42nd year, offers experienced and novice singers an opportunity to learn and perform vibrant classic and contemporary choral music.
Singers can participate in rehearsals for free through the month of September, to ensure that the fit is right. If the singer wishes to continue, the semester tuition is $160 and includes all the required music. Rehearsals are held on Monday evenings at the Carmel High School in Casey Hall, from 7pm to 9:30pm.
Auditions are not required, except to place the singer in the appropriate section (Soprano, Alto, Tenor or Bass). Some experience singing with a choir or other musical group previously is preferred. Registration will continue throughout August and early September. Tuition is $160 per semester, and includes all required music.
