Cannabis Oil, Chocolate, More In I-84 Drug Bust
New York State Police arrested two men from Massachusetts on the interstate in Southeast.

SOUTHEAST, NY — New York State Police from the Brewster barracks arrested two young men from Massachusetts on drug charges after stopping them on I-84 April 8.
Jacob A. Lemasurier, 19, of Pepperell, MA, faces charges of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 4th degree, a class C felony, and Criminal Possession in the 5th degree, a class D felony; plus Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 7th degree, Criminal Possession of Marijuana in the 4th degree, Criminal Use of Drug Paraphernalia, all class A misdemeanors.
Anthony Berube, 25, of Fitchburg, MA, faces charges of four counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 7th degree, a class A misdemeanor, and Unlawful Possession of Marijuana, a violation.

At 11:15 p.m. Sunday, troopers initiated a traffic stop on a 2012 Ford Fusion for violations of the vehicle and traffic law on Interstate 84 in the town of Southeast. They allege they smelled a strong odor of marijuana while they interviewed the driver, Berube.
Investigation found Lemasurier was in possession of about 69.8 grams of marijuana, nine syringes and one cartridge all containing concentrated cannabis oil, 2.8 grams of cocaine, and 4 grams of Methylenedioxymethamphetamine (MDMA).

Berube was found to be in possession of one cartridge of concentrated cannabis, approximately 4.3 grams of edible chocolate containing cannabis oil, one gram of Alprazolam, 0.6 grams of Xanax, and 2.4 grams of marijuana.
Berube was arraigned before the town of Southeast Court and released on his own recognizance. Lemasurier was arraigned before the town of Southeast Court and sent to the Putnam County Jail in lieu of $500 cash bail or $1,000 bond.
