SOUTHEAST, NY — A Carmel resident faces drug charges, Putnam County Sheriff Robert L. Langley Jr. reports.
On Jan. 11, Jamie J. Mclean, 22, was charged with three counts each of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Fifth Degree and Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance in the Fifth Degree.
A deputy assigned to the Narcotics Enforcement Unit (NEU) of the Putnam County Sheriff’s Department developed information that a man was involved in the sale of prescription medication within the county. The deputy was able to make contact with the subject and arrange for the purchase of prescription medication (Suboxone) on several occasions.

Mclean was arraigned before the Honorable Justice Thomas Jacobellis of the Town of Carmel Court and remanded to Putnam County Correctional Facility in lieu of $1,500 bail.
