CARMEL, NY β The Carmel schools superintendent is resigning effective Aug. 30, the Putnam Examiner reports.
Andy Irvin wrote a letter to the school community in which he cited a Twitter account impersonating him, down to the photo. Mostly active between 2011 and 2017, the account called @No1NYSOXFAN contains mostly tweets and retweets about baseball and beer, "but there are also racially insensitive, sexually insensitive and some just plain disgusting posts that make me sick to my stomach,β he told The Examiner.
Irvin has been an administrator in the district since 2008.
