Connecticut Residents Charged with DWI in Brewster, Southeast

NY state police made the stops

BREWSTER, NY — Three Connecticut residents face drunk-driving charges in New York after a state police crackdown over the weekend.

A Danbury resident faces a drunken driving charge in Brewster. On Jan. 7, New York State Police arrested Kelsey N. O’Keefe, 26, for DWI, a Misdemeanor.

Police said the trooper stopped the vehicle O’Keefe was operating on Main Street for an equipment violation, and concluded that she was intoxicated.

O'Keefe supplied a breath sample that revealed a Blood Alcohol Content of .12 percent and was issued traffic tickets directing her to appear in the Village of Brewster Justice Court on Jan. 23.

On Jan. 7, New York State Police arrested 23-year-old Laura M. Betancourth, and charged her with Driving While Intoxicated. They said they stopped her on Interstate 84 for speeding. She provided a breath sample that revealed a Blood Alcohol Content of .12 percent, police said.

Betancourth is due to appear in the Town of Southeast Court on Jan. 26.

A New Fairfield resident is also due in Southeast town court.

On Jan. 7, 61-year-old Michael E. Glennon, of New Fairfield, CT, was arrested by State Police for Driving While Intoxicated, a Misdemeanor. Subsequent to a traffic stop conducted on Sodom Lane for an equipment violation, Glennon was arrested for DWI. The defendant provided a breath sample that yielded a BAC of .09 percent and was issued traffic tickets returnable to the Town of Southeast Court on Jan. 26.
