Cops: Babysitter Found Passed Out

The babies were safely returned to their mother.

New York State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation from the Brewster barracks arrested Celimata Diombera, 29, of Patterson, NY for Endangering the Welfare of a Child, a Class A Misdemeanor.

On May 26, troopers responded to a report of an unresponsive woman at a residence in Patterson. Diombera was located unconscious in the living room.

Transcare Paramedics assisted in reviving Diombera who appeared to be under the influence of alcohol and narcotics. Further investigation revealed that there were 7-month-old twins in the residence whom Diombera was babysitting.

One child was located on the couch next to Diombera and one was lying on a bed in an adjacent room. Both children were in good health and turned over to their mother.

Diombera was transported to Putnam Hospital for evalutaion. She was issued an Appearance Ticket and directed to appear at the Town of Patterson Court June 2.
