Cops: Drunk Southeast Driver Tailgated, Rear-Ended Car on I-84
Police allege the 24-year-old then sped away.

SOUTHEAST, NY â On Jan. 30, 2017, New York State Police from the East Fishkill barracks arrested Alexander P. King, 24, of Southeast, New York, for Driving While Intoxicated.
At about 9:19 p.m., troopers were monitoring traffic on Interstate 84 just west of I684, searching for a vehicle involved in a hit-and-run collision. An officer observed a Honda traveling eastbound in excess of 85 miles per hour that matched the description of the fleeing vehicle and conducted a traffic stop.
Further investigation revealed that the driver, who was identified as King, was intoxicated at the time of the incident, police said.

The collision occurred when King and 47-year-old Fred Vanzillotta of Salt Point were traveling eastbound on I-84. King was operating his vehicle aggressively and tailgating Vanzillotta, police allege. He subsequently struck Vanzillottaâs vehicle in the rear and then fled.
King was issued traffic tickets directing him to appear in the Town of Southeast Court on Feb. 9.
