Coronavirus: Putnam County's Latest Update

PUTNAM COUNTY, NY — The death toll in Putnam County from COVID-19 stands at 31 residents, according to the most recent data available from the New York state Health Department. Twenty of those deaths have taken place at Putnam Hospital in the past 20 days.

There have been 634 confirmed new coronavirus infections. The number of new cases rose sharply Saturday.

Men continue to account for more than half the cases, according to Putnam County officials.

The death toll across New York State continued relatively steady.
