Fatal Crash On I-84 Near I-684 Interchange

UPDATE 4:51 p.m. — A crash on I-84 near the I-684 interchange was a fatal accident, New York State Police from the Brewster barracks said.

It took place on I-84 westbound, east of Exit 20, at about 3:30 p.m., police said.

Any witness or person with information regarding the crash is asked to please call Troop K Headquarters at (845) 677-7300 and request to leave a message for Investigator Gould.

SOUTHEAST, NY — Interstate 84 westbound was closed as of 3:35 p.m., New York state transportation officials said, due to a serious injury accident.

It could be closed for up to two hours.
