CT Driver Clocked At 110MPH On I-84 In Southeast: NYSP

They say the 21-year-old resisted arrest after they chased and stopped him.

SOUTHEAST, NY — New York State Police monitoring traffic on I-84 Monday at about 9:15 p.m. clocked a driver doing 110 mph. When they turned on their lights and siren, the Honda didn't stop, they said.

They chased the car onto Old Mine Road. The vehicle stopped, but the driver resisted arrest, they said.

Now Jose G. Rosado, 21, of Waterbury, CT, faces charges in New York of Reckless Endangerment in the 2nd Degree, Resisting Arrest, Fleeing an Officer in a Motor Vehicle in the 3rd Degree, Obstructing a Government Official, all Class A Misdemeanors, Reckless Endangerment of Property, a Class B Misdemeanor, and Driving While Intoxicated.

Rosado was arraigned before the Town of Patterson Justice Court and sent to the Putnam County Jail in lieu of $2,500 cash bail or $5,000 bond. Rosado is next scheduled to appear before the Town of Southeast Justice Court on Nov. 16.
