CV Starr to Host Virtual STEAM Expo

This Wednesday, June 17, CV Starr Intermediate School is hosting the first-ever CV Starr Young Innovators Virtual STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math) Expo.

Last year, the school hosted its first STEAM Expo, which showcased both the creative and critical thinking skills of students. This year’s event was planned to be even bigger and better. Many students registered to participate in the event prior to schools closing, which was almost a month before registration forms were due. Not wanting to disappoint them, teachers decided to take the event virtual.

Students have been working on their projects and submitting them digitally, figuring out ways to both solve problems and present them in a whole new way. To help celebrate, Brewster IS/MS PTA even purchased t-shirts for participating students to help celebrate.

The event will be live on our website at 8 a.m. on June 17 and will include the Annual CV Starr Art show (featuring work completed in school and work completed during distance learning), a new Art Challenge, and the third through fifth grade STEAM innovations.
