Delzio Earns COY Award: Daily Sports Digest June 15

Softball Award Winners

When you make it to the Section 1 Class A softball finals like the Brewster Bears did, well-deserving awards will come your way.

Leading the award winners was their coach, Lisa Delzio, who was named League I-B Coach of the Year, as per Debbie Schechter's post on the LoHud Softball Blog.

Senior center fielder Marisa Delzio and junior infielder Shannon Sommer were both named All-Section with teammate and senior catcher Christina Graff earning All-Section Honorable Mention.

Brewster resident and Kennedy Catholic senior center fielder Ailish Hogan was named All-Section.

Youth Softball

The Brewster Rockets 12U squad is scheduled to play in the Summer Slam Tournament in Warwick, RI today, according to its website.
