Tryouts for the Hudson Valley team that will play in the inaugural Empire State Cup will be held at Somers High School at 4 p.m. Monday and Tuesday, according to Mike Dougherty's post on the LoHud Boys Lacrosse Blog.
Any player from the region currently in grades eight through 12 is eligible to participate. This is a showcase for All-Stars, and there is a $75 tryout fee.
All interested participants need to register by Sunday at empirestatecup.com.

Former Brewster boys lacrosse player Doug Biondi scored three goals in Ithaca's NYS Class A semifinal win over Fairport, according to MSG Varsity's Isaac Cass' Twitter feed.
