CLEARED: Downed Tree on Route 312 in Southeast
State transportation officials offer detours for north/southbound and east/westbound travelers on Route 22 in Dutchess and Putnam counties.

UPDATE: State transportation officials said Route 312 has been reopened in Putnam County between Route 22 and Farm to Market Road. The road, a well-traveled thoroughfare for Putnam County residents going east-west, had been closed since 9:20 a.m. because of a downed tree.
UPDATE: State transportation officials warn motorists in southeast Dutchess County as well as Putnam County to use an alternate route and expect delays while Route 312 is closed in both directions due to a downed tree.
State transportation officials recommend that for those headed north or south, detour from Route 22 to Route 164 to Route 311. For those traveling east/west, detour from Route 312 to Farm to Market Road to Route 164.
