DWI for Brewster Man Who Rear-Ends Police Car Making DWI Stop

It all took place on Main Street

Brewster resident Elder R. Martinez Giron, 23, was traveling east on Main Street Jan. 16 when he swerved -- into the back of a state police car.

Troopers from the Brewster barracks had stopped a vehicle on Main Street just before Giron appeared on the scene. The operator of that car was secured in the police car, under arrest for Driving While Intoxicated.

Giron was found to be intoxicated at the time of the crash. He was charged with Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated, a Misdemeanor.
