Early Voting Locations, Times Set In Putnam County

In Brewster and Southeast, voters in 2021 will choose the county sheriff; town and village officials; and state, town and village justices.

BREWSTER, NY — Putnam County will be participating in early voting for the 2021 General Election, and this year there will be two locations. In Brewster and Southeast, voters will choose among candidates for county sheriff, town justice, town council, village mayor, village justice and village board of trustees as well as state judges.

Registered voters will be able to cast their ballot over nine days prior to Election Day, which is Nov. 2.

Early voting sites will be located not only at the Putnam County Board of Elections, as last year, but also at the North Highlands Fire House, giving residents access to an early voting location on the west side as well as the east side of the county.

  • Saturday, Oct. 23: 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
  • Sunday, Oct. 24: 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
  • Monday, Oct. 25: 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • Tuesday, Oct. 26: 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.
  • Wednesday, Oct. 27: 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • Thursday, Oct. 28: 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.
  • Friday, Oct. 29: 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • Saturday, Oct. 30: 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
  • Sunday, Oct. 31: 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The early voting process is the same as on Election Day. When you arrive at the early voting poll site, you will sign the electronic poll book, mark your ballot, and cast it on the voting machine. You may ask an election inspector to explain how to vote, or if you require any additional assistance. Sample Ballots are posted on our website and will also be available for viewing at the poll sites.

REMEMBER: If you cast a ballot during Early Voting, you are not eligible to vote on Election Day.

Poll sites are accessible to voters with physical disabilities.
