Ellen Avenue Railroad Crossing To Close For Weekend Work

If you park your car off Ellen Avenue, get it out of there before the crossing is uncrossable over the next two weekends.

BREWSTER, NY — The railroad crossing by the Brewster Train Station will be closed Friday to Monday, the first of two weekend closures while the MTA upgrades the Metro-North crossing at Ellen Avenue.

All residents and commuters who have vehicles parked off of Ellen Avenue should move their cars as there will be no non-emergency access starting at 10 p.m. on Friday

The railroad crossing will be closed on the following dates:

  • 10 PM Friday, April 22 to 4 PM Sunday, April 24
  • 10 PM Friday, April 29 to 4 PM Sunday, May 1

During these times above, all customers and residents should park their vehicles in the train station lot along North Main Street.

Remember, non-emergency vehicles will not be able to cross the tracks while repair work is underway.
